Year Round Farmers Markets in South Mississippi

There are fewer farmers markets available to South Mississippi and the Coastal90 readers area this time of year, but there are still a few around.  The variety of goods available ranges from fresh breads and other baked goods, plants, local meats and sausage, and seasonally fresh vegetables.  Please be sure to doublecheck each location as dates and times are subject to change!

Pass Christian Holiday Boutique

November 13 and 14 are the dates of this year’s annual Pass Christian Holiday Boutique Sale will be held again this year at the Pass Christian Yacht Club, 120 S. Market Street, Pass Christian.

Over 20 vendors will have booths selling their wares ranging from hand-crafted jewelry, clothing and accessories, art, pottery–and many other items.

Come out and get your Christmas Shopping completed early!

  • Saturday, November 14, 2015  10 am-4 pm

Waveland’s Christmas Bazaar

Waveland’s 2nd Annual Christmas Bazaar will beheld Friday and Saturday, November 20-21 at the Ground Zero Hurricane Museum.

The Museum’s location at 335 Coleman Avenue is convenient and there’s lots of parking on the street.  The flyer indicates that there will be a number of vendors selling Made in Mississippi products.

Hours on Friday will be from 10am until 8 pm; Saturday hours are from 10 am to 4 pm.

Christmas on the Water

This year’s Christmas on the Water event will be held December 5, 2015.  This is the yearly fundraiser for the Mississippi Gulf Coast Attractions Association.

The cruise follows the Mississippi Gulf Coast and includes the historical Lights on the Water Parade in Biloxi, ending with spectacular fireworks.  The cruise begins around 4:30 p.m. in the Gulfport Small Craft Harbor and returns around 9:30 p.m.  You will be served heavy hor d’oeuvres and a cash bar will be available.

Annual Cedar Rest Cemetery Tour, 2015

The Hancock County Historical Societty will hold its annual Cedar Rest Cemetery Tour on Saturday, October 31.   The 22nd annual tour features  members in period dress portraying local citizens buried at Cedar Rest and will be held from 5:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.  Hot dogs, chili dogs, homemade cookies, and punch will be served at Lobrano House just around the corner from the cemetery, 108 Cue St. after the tour.  Admission is free , but donations are accepted and appreciated.
