After every storm lots of debris is washed up on the beach. Hurricane Isaac was no exception.
Don’t worry because it won’t be long until they have all this mess is cleaned up. Then it is back to normal along coastal Mississippi. The beach and road cleanup crews have been through this before and are experts at the task. The beaches in Waveland are now cloased till the mess is cleaned up. National Guard and Waveland Police Departments will be patrolling the entraces to Beach Blvd.
Thanks for all the hard work guys and gals. We appreciate it!
We got to share this picture of the U-Boat model U-166 that was on display on Biloxi Beach. This is a model of the U Boat that was sunk either by a Coast Guard Plane flying out of Houma, LA or the Robert E. Lee's depth charges. The U-166 was found a few years back in about 5000 feet of water. U-Boats were common in the Gulf of Mexico during World War II. The model is very detailed and seems to be to scale.

Driving down Coastal Highway 90 in Mississippi is an experience in beach viewing. This is because for miles and miles and miles you will pass Piers, Shops, Restaurants and of course Beaches. Friday nights is our usual Dinner with the family night. We love to hop in the car almost at sunset and cruise from Pascagoula down to Waveland visiting each little beach town along the way. Scenic towns like Bay St. Louis, Pass Christian, Long Beach, Gulfport, Biloxi, Ocean Springs are covered during our drive. Along the way we pick a great dining spot and chow down some tasty treats. Being new to Mississippi, we have found that there are an amazing number of neat things to see and do along Coastal 90. Today I have learned of a giant rocking chair located in Gulfport at the Dedeaux furniture company. Pictures of the giant rocker will be coming soon. We just love giant and over-sized items for the site, just feels right. So keep submitting new items using our forms and submission links.
