Jeremy Burke can often be found behind the desk of Bay Books at 131 Main Street in Bay St Louis, MS. Jeremy and Kristen run a small but well read bookstore. They have a real understanding of what books match each age group and even what books are popular or controversial. Bay Books offers lots of local book signings throughout the months. Having a store like Bay Books is a real treasure. I know many local frequent the shelves looking for the perfect gift for their loved ones.
Sometimes you’re just in the mood for some good, messy, casual dining…when that happens, you should make your way down to Sloppy Dogs in the Depot District of Bay St. Louis. Their motto is “Best Hot Dogs in the World,” and they sure do live up to that statement. Their offerings of a variety of different hot dog combinations, their famous Philly cheesesteak sandwich, and their slew of draft beers lure even the biggest foodies on the Coast to this down-to-earth establishment.
On your next visit to downtown Bay St. Louis, you should definitely stop into Cypress Cafe at 300 South Second St. Owner Holly Lemoine-Raymond not only serves up the freshest and highest quality sandwiches, soups, and salads, but she has also created an incredibly welcoming atmosphere in her update of the old City Hall building where the shop is located. Add in a staff filled to the brim with the friendliest servers, and you’re sure to have one of the most pleasant casual dining experiences on the Coast.
